Ready for a new drawing? Well, friends, I've done a new one today and I'm going to show it to you. I've drawn an instrument from Rising Star. It's the Native Log Drum. You can find it on card i295. It's a common card that gives you 10 Luck. It's cheap, like the others we've seen lately. If you want it for your collection, you can find it at a pretty affordable price. That said, I don't think it's the best value right now. But it's still nice to have one to display in your game collection. I'll start by showing you how I made the initial strokes of the drawing on the paper.
In case you're not familiar with it, the Native Log Drum is a hollowed-out log used as an improvised drum. A goatskin or cowhide is placed over the log. Depending on the region, it may even have other materials on top. Because the log is hollow, it amplifies the sound of the hands playing the hide. That's how a drum is created.
I don't have much information about this drum, but judging by its shape and name, it likely belonged to Native Americans or was invented by them. If any of you know more about it, I'd appreciate it if you could share so we can all learn a little. The comments are open, and you can be sure I'll read and reply to them all. The way I made the drawing was very simple. I started by using a ruler to create the base of the deck. Inside, I wrote the title of the deck and the number that identifies this card. Then, in the following images, you can see how I colored everything using colored pencils and markers. And now I'm going to show you how I did the highlighting, which is what I always do to finish the drawing. Along with that, I'll show you the materials I used.
