Venedig, the city of love

in #drawing7 years ago

Located in northeastern Italy, it is possible to imagine Venedig as a giant spider web formed by 118 islands and 175 canals, islands connected by 444 bridges.
Situated at the crossroads of sea-lanes between a large part of Western Europe and the rest of the world, Venedig in the past was a maritime empire and a region preparing for the Crusades. , as well as being an important trade center of the European Renaissance.
Venedig means love. So, it was dubbed the city of love. In addition, Venice is also known for its "nicknames" such as floating city, city of masks, city of bridges, city canals...

One particular thing Venedig is the only metropolis in Europe in the 21st century that exists without completely cars and trucks. The Gondola is the most characteristic means of transportation in Venedig. It is a kind of old Venice boat, small, long, used very popular for tourists, even during the wedding.

Pictures of the gondola float on the calm water, wool through the alleyways, melodious in the singing of the boatman always leave marks never fade in the heart of visitors

👌I must say its so beautiful.

Fantastic artwork @daomanhoan - I really love your style, the combination of nice confident ink line work with your dreamy colors is amazing! I would love to see a little bit more about your process included in a post (and apologies if you have already done so on a previous post, I am busy today and haven't taken the time to look through your previous blog posts).

Are you sketching with pencil on notepad from life then inking and coloring later? Drawing from your own photographs? You are obviously a talented artist and I truly enjoy getting a glimpse into the methods and the madness of of talented folks like yourself.

Much love - Carl
