Good day everyone! Allow me to share my entry at @sirsensei drawitbetter contest. My subject today is JAKE THE DOG of Aventure Time he is a cool dog hahahahaha. I will show you the process and how it will done.
I started to draw a faded outline of my subject using soft pencil, i'll make a circle for the body and line for the shoulders and legs. I do this to have a basic foundation on layering the colors.
I used black and color to fill the details of the eyes as the picture shown below.
Then, I attempted to used a yellow color for filling the body as base color. After using yellow, next is orange color until i acheive the color tone i'm looking for.
For the darkest part of the body, i used black and brown color. I fill it lightly until i get the right shadow for it. And i did it alternately.
