When I saw that movie, I thought the makers simply MUST be lucid dreamers. The landscapes, the colors, everything in Pandora is so dream like.
Have you seen Annihilation?
When I watched Avatar movie for the first time, I hadn't started paying attention to my dreams. I bet if I had, I would have interpreted the landscapes differently as you say. :P
