Esta bebida, perteneciente al portafolio de productos de la destilería venezolana Ron Roble. Se trata de un single vintage de 12 años de añejamiento en barricas de roble blanco americano. El resultado es carácter hecho bebida. La conjugación entre su color ámbar y sabor le han conferido un laureado puesto dentro de la escena ronera mundial; ostentando tres medallas de oro, dos de plata y una de bronce.
4.- Captain Bligh XO (Isla de San Vicente)
Oriundo de las islas San Vicente y Las Granadinas, el ron XO se consagra como uno de los más importantes y apreciados del planeta. Es añejado en barricas donde previamente se debió haber añejado (al menos por una década) bourbon Kentucky. En boca se muestra con un sabor suave en estrada, permanencia corta y final seco. Se pueden apreciar notas a vainilla, roble y coco; mientras que en nariz se aprecian aromas a leche de coco, azúcar morena, caramelo y vainilla. Este ron es acreedor de diversos galardones, como la Medalla de Oro en el World Rum Awards 2015.
5.- Appleton Estate 30 Years Old (Jamaica)
No es de extrañar que esta bebida oriunda de las paradisíacas tierras jamaiquinas figure entre los mejores rones del mundo. Y es que este destilado, añejado por treinta años en barricas de roble. Su calidad excepcional le ha conferido reconocimientos y medallas de oro en distintas competencias internacionales.
