Drug Abuse Addiction is the act/habit of taking drugs indiscriminately outside the doctor's prescription. For doing this, the purpose for which the drug is met is defeated. This then endangers one's physical and mental health. Drug addiction could grow from this which could cause many side effects in man /woman. Most people for instance are addicted to the smoking of Hemp(i.e "Igbo") which is very common among men who perhaps want to be hardened up. When in this state, they forget their problems which of course is tentative after which they return to their usual self and the problem are retained. This habit may go on and on until permanent problem will set into their lives.
Very many people believe that through taking of taking of drugs which maybe in form of alcohol, cocaine, heroine and smoking of cigarette will relieve them of stress and make them forget their pains, sorrows and setbacks. However, it is a very wrong way of relieving oneself of stress because drug abuse and addiction causes alot of health hazards, so it should be discourage with all vehemence.
Drug abuse menace is a very dangerous phenomenon in our society today, that urgently required maximum attention from Government in all level. For us to have a sane future.
