I started MMT in 2005 and im still on it i started using at age 13, norco and other pills at first . i had a good controll on it the first 3 years, i used maybe 3 times a week but then i needed more and more at about 16 it was a everyday thing. but it all changed one day when a friend of mine showed up with a full bottle of oxycontin 40's. she stole her moms safe for the oxys (and soma) and that was the first day i shot up, within the next week she died from an OD and i was hooked on H. that quick, after 2 and a half years of hell and at least 100k(and i was poor AF) I got into a MMT program...
your first day. expect to be there 2-5 hours. you will need to see a counselor who you will see 1-3 times a month
lots of paper work.a urine drug screen(that your expected to fail for at least opiates) some clinics just give you a test cup
and you go pee and bring it back but some clinics will watch you drop or like my clinic they have a camera in the drop
bathroom with someone watching you.next you see the doc, be honest with him about your use so they can hopefully get your dose kinda right at first. it wont be %100 at first as they tinker with your dose. after the first 2 months its much
harder to a boost to your dose (maybe 1-2 MG) i would advise staying at the lowest dose you feel stable at if you want to get off MMT in 6-8 months beware clinics that ALWAYS try and jack your dose up to keep you there forever and get that grant money or if you pay out of pocket
LASTLY be strong! ever clinic has the "patients" who just use it as a safeguard in case they cant get dope
if your there for the right reasons they will get on your nerves! they will ask you if you have dope/benzos/oxys/fentanyl some will ask if want dope/benzos/oxys/fentanyl deals are always hovering around clinics trying to get new customers but be strong! also i would advise only to try MMT if you are on heroin or oxys/fentanyl . if your on norco/vicodan or something like that your just steping up to a stronger drug IMO. if you have any questions please reply!
