One more tip: you should include a mechanism where somebody can not attack same player again within 72 hours otherwise people will use their alts and send minimum amount of troops to trigger the next 12 hours protection.

9 alts. Reset your protection shield every 8 hours, lock out for 3 days. Nine is still manageable, just about. :P
Right. Yeah that sounds like a faff, but could be worth it. Another option is to get your clan, or a friend to send a friendly bouncer over.

You will most likely not be able to attack other clan members. Fuggedaboutit, the Don may get you whacked for that.
I like to see it as good initiative - even Don ain't safe.
