Hello World!
Can you believe there isn’t a steemit category for the most important topic on the planet yet?
Well that’s about to change. Drummers, we must unite to rectify this gross injustice, and band together as one voice and say, “Let there be Drums!” So let’s get this conversation rolling.
For starters, let me know what is your favourite rudiment, and why? Mine is the triplet, because it’s so versatile. There’s a lot you can do with a good old RLR LRL depending on where you land them around a kit.
And if you already know the 40 basic rudiments and want to learn some more, I found this awesome site today with a whole rudiment encyclopedia (over 500 rudiments/movements) for anyone who’s become bored with “just 40!”.
The site ninjadrummist.com is run by Lewis Partridge, himself a drummer. I’ve never heard of him, but I suspect he’s decent, given the content on his website. Anyhow, welcome to steemit Drummer’s. In years to come, we’ll be able to say we forged the way for all drummers, way back when the whole world wasn’t yet, using steemit.
