Tattoos - You might think that the concept is a new and innovate way to make a person stand out from the crowd or his fellow peers, to become a more “Unique” individual… but let's really think about this. If you undergo this act, are you committing a sin? Allow me to answer that question.

Hello. My name is Corey DeFrancesco and I am a Bishop of the Ecumenical Order of Christ. I wish to enlighten you on a practice that the majority of people in today’s world are familiar with – Tattoos. You might think that the concept is a new and innovate way to make a person stand out from the crowd, to become a more “Unique” individual… but let's really think about this. With some research, you will find that nearly 1 in 5 adults on this planet have at least one tattoo. That is 20% of adults. - Now to me, that’s a shocking statistic. As the returned Christ, Lord RayEl, has taught us – the practice is not favored upon because of the detrimental effects that it has on the human body.
While the body is but a “suit” that houses the soul to the Annunaki, that does not mean that we shouldn’t be taking proper care of what God has gifted to each and every one of us. As brother Angelus Domini pointed out, “The skin is not a piece of cloth, it is a vital organ, and to purposely damage an organ is neither logical nor responsible.” We must also consider the narrow-mindedness of the entire concept. When a person dons a particular suit or garb for a period of time and they get tired of the “Style”, they can easily swap it out for another. Now, with a Tattoo – this really cannot be done in a healthful or logical manner.
Let’s look at the laundry list of potential risk factors. There is a surplus of diseases that can take place in the act of receiving ink, including The HIV Virus, hepatitis, syphilis, tetanus, tuberculosis, and other infectious diseases. There is also grave infections, allergic reactions and skin cancer like symptoms. The risk factors are even higher if your artist isn’t using 100% sterile equipment. And realistically… we know that this isn’t always the case.
This doesn’t even factor in the margin for human error. Have you seen some of the absolutely ridiculous mistakes that tattoo artists have made on a person’s body? Or when you walked into that tattoo shop when you were hammered and came out with some absolutely horrid imagery stamped on your face? Well, guess what - now you are branded for life! You will not be getting another chance at a fresh set of skin until the next go around. Sorry, you should have thought that one through! You should now begin to understand why undergoing this act is deemed as shortsighted.
The Bible also speaks on this topic. Leviticus 19:28 - "Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the LORD.”
Now, having a Tattoo will not cost you your salvation – No, not even close. However, it is frowned upon by Lord RayEl. How a person treats their body is an outlet to their mindset on how they view life. Each person must treat their body as sacred because that is what God gifted to us. We should be cherishing that Gift. Surely, that is God’s will.

If tattoos were useful, I imagine this would be a bit different, but it usually boils down to shortsightedness or vanity.

I've seen a lot of people having them removed in recent years. Great sermon Brother!
