Today on 2 Minutes with the Farmer we are talking about Steem and BTC (Bitcoin). Last night was my first experience with BTC and it wasn't a very good one. Made me really appreciate Steem and how fast and easy it is. It was a good reminder of how fortunate we all are here on @steemit and @dtube that we have the opportunity to earn Steem here on these platforms.

Howdy sir Farmer! yeah it seems like they would need to fix that problem for cryptos to reach the mainstream if they keep using Bitcoin as the main one, which I don't know why they do. lol.

Steem is my favourite. Better than BTC, and EOS and all the rest.
Steem is scalable. Has a million accounts. Sign up is free. It has excellent dapps now.
Its ready to rock, but most people arent even talking about it.

Very good question. I would say yes it could. So much faster and easier
but less scarce - 21 million btc vs 300+ million steem.
but with the current growth we would need too many years @penguinpablo
maybe the farmers kids could make a test with the steem wallet of @roelandp - maybe it comes in handy.
Good point but just from my own experience steem has been so much easier and faster. Think if more people tried steem it would catch on fast. Not to mention you can earn it easily with Steemit or dtube. I know I am biased though;)
do you think as a concerned parent, using steem is good for kids (less stupid content, few porn, decent human beings?)
I still am very protective with the internet with my kids. They are not allowed to be on the computer unless my wife or I are in the room. But yes I do think Steemit does a good job hiding inappropriate content and the people on here have all been very kind so far
Bitcoin has been and still is the rock when it comes to altcoins. It is the leader and all other coins seem to follow it. I wonder if it has to do with whichever coin one tends to deal with first. I felt the same as you but in reverse. I had always dealt with Bitcoin. Then when I started dealing with Steem it made me nervous.
I have only transferred bitcoin once and it taking so long was my big hang up. I agree with you that as of right now all other crypto follows BTC. I just wonder for how much longer
I think that Bitcoin will be the leader for many years to come. It has the most notoriety and people trust it more. I have noticed that sometimes transactions take longer than others based on the traffic in the system. Maybe you did your transaction during a congested time?
