Christian priests are not running the hospitals instead of doctors, because millions of people would become crippled or die under the most brutal circumstances, if they did. Most people in the USA have seen these instances where TV evangelists for example ostensibly heal individuals in wheelchairs by subjecting them to the alleged love of Jesus and God. Had there been any trustworthiness and credibility whatsoever attached to these events, then the hospitals of the world would obviously have been filled to the brim with priests and ministers instead of university-educated doctors.
Do physicians, engineers, physicists, mathematicians, historians, climatologists, architects, geographers and other good people have a hotline to the nearest priest, ayatollah, guru or New Age leader? In an overwhelming amount of cases they don't have a hotline to such individuals. Almost nothing in the whole world that represents something of value, from a humane and ethical perspective, comes from leaders of religions. This is the reason why the Vatican does not have a weekly TV show where they educate physicists on precisely how to construct the first mainstream laptop quantum computer. Or precisely how to revolutionize the gene technology sector, so that life in our solar system becomes less painful. Or how to technically and very cheaply solve the freshwater and seawater pollution problems of the world. Or how to eradicate hunger quickly. The alleged love of Jesus or God has had 2000 years to eradicate hunger and poverty on Mother Earth for good. And it never happened. Priests, ayatollahs, gurus, high-level New Age influencers and other religious leaders either don't have a clue about how to solve terribly urgent problems within humankind. Or they simply don't care which is obviously an atrocity against humanity.
