Medical #marijuana in #wv, I would have never thought I'd see this just a few years ago. Alas, we are making progress here my people. Sure as of right now only #cbd is available, however eventually #thc will be introduced. Lawmakers are taking their sweet old time, but there is no stopping the inevitable.
The second location of Purple Leaf Cannabis Dispensary recently opened up, less than a minute drive from my home. I cruise by almost every single day and have watched as they got to the point of opening the doors. Today I had some free time and decided to stop in, what a great choice that was.
The two employees were the only people inside when I arrived, I quickly made a cordial greeting and began some healthy chit-chat. I found out that there is a secret room through the sliding doors in the back that the establishment plans to turn into a lounge soon. That immediately got me hyped, finally a place to hang out with cool people that doesn't involve drinking alcohol. On top of that, as I was browsing I was offered a fat bowl of their Sour Space Candy CBD dominant strain. Of course I accepted, taking two absolutely monstrous rips from a custom water piece they had on the bar. You heard me right, they also have a bar, and yes you can smoke at it. I was in the middle of the store smoking #weed, sure it was CBD only (for now), but there is just something about the taste and feeling of it. Doesn't matter if I was not getting a head high, my body and mind were both still loving it.
Of course I asked if they were on #weedcash... sadly they said no, which I figured would be the case. I made sure to write down the URL so they could look into it and I will mention it again next time. Same with https://smoke.io/. Hopefully they will listen, if not I'm sure their business will still do fantastic. They were even thoughtful enough to have a stack of legal documents, you get one after a purchase. This could possibly ensure the safety of their customers if police were to ever cause trouble.
I ended up purchasing an awesome t-shirt for $20, the design is an 80s retro-style (one of my favorites). It was the last medium in stock, I lucked out for sure.
There was once a decal on the front window of the store with the same design as the shirt, before they were officially open. Sadly members of the local community complained that the big #potleaf looked bad.

Just because we are in a more upscale part of town doesn't mean that the leaf image should be looked down upon. I think its absolute nonsense that they were pressured to change it to the original logo. Perhaps one day our little community here in #charleston will open their eyes and see how great this plant can be. I know I have the patience to wait on them to catch up to the times.
They even have a delivery service!
I also decided to buy a gram ($15) of the Sour Space Candy that they kindly let me try in the #dispensary. When he weighed it out he decided to give me 1.5g! Very generous and great dude even though I found it funny he was wearing sunglasses inside (total stoner move), the girl was super sweet too. I will most certainly be back and cannot wait to wear the shirt around town.

Very cool that they are opening more places where you are. Nowadays here in Colorado, CBD is EVERYWHERE! The grocery store, the shoe store (you heard me right, the shoe store). THC is only at the dispensaries, but people have really come to accept the medical benefits of CBD!

I believe the sign up process needs to be streamlined before I’m able to get non-crypto people to understand the benefit of being here.
The thought of explaining the different passwords and then the different tribes... there’s just no chance for me to successfully do that right now. Even my computer science major gf doesn’t know the first thing about a blockchain.
Being ahead of the curve is quite difficult, I’m constantly excited, but everybody I know just doesn’t get why.
Yeah... That and everything else. Most friends think I'm crazy.
And this isn't the most welcome. Place. Had pretty much every friend I'd gotten here quit. And even then the one that didn't? Well he kinda has screwed himself.
Well I'm still clinging to hope. That blockchain technology will survive. Price today is pretty low. But.... I get to earn more! Hey I'll take that.
Just we will see what happens after hf21. Not really liking this 50/50 payout thing...

Friends? Haha. The only reason I have so much time to be on Steem is because all of my friends have vanished anyways.
The best I’ve done so far is get a person to consistently vote and comment on my blogs. But they don’t browse anybody else’s profile and won’t post themselves outside of commenting.
This earning phase has lasted quite awhile, and it’s hard to stay motivated sometime. But I know that it’s going to pay off in the long run.
Even after HF21 I think we can still earn some decent coin. Earning multiple tokens with the tribes helps out a lot with that.
Shit I've loved lost had old friends and new enemies and walked away from some "good" groups over principal.
Was threatened with "removal of rewards" by a "friend" and radical vegan for calling cowpocylapse and cowfarts bullshit and making fun of it...
Radical vegans wanted me to war... Sweet. I definitely called that out and earned off it.
But I'm totally HODL and hustle. I'm thinking Steemit might have something. And have tried to help others grow. Who cares about the drama when I'm winning the game!

Oh goodness. Nobody likes to deal with the hostile vegans. I once tried to understand their ways, totally not for me. I did give it a chance though.
Well... I've had friends that were veggies and vegans they told me all sorts of crazy things. And showed me behind the scenes. One friend showed me how she will go crazy and binge on meat after too much medibles. Or dabs... Lolz... The bacon becomes irresistible....

The name and color both are perfect. I love the style they have on the inside. It’s one of those places that’s even better when you’re in there. I can’t believe they still have plans of adding a bunch more to the place too. This is going to be juicy.

Yes , they are slowly opening up here in British Columbia , but theres so many hoops to jump through and regulations its a very slow process even though its now Legal in Canada, lol! 👍😎😂
Yes we both know about the flaming hoops. Only those truly destined to pair with the plant will make it through all those regulations. It’s been legal here in my state for over 2 years now & we still only have CBD. The dispensaries are still doing great, but I’m more excited about having a proper balance of both CBD and THC. I’m trying to be patient over here.
