Fake psychic detective Shawn Spencer (James Roday) and his best friend, Burton "Gus" Guster (Dulé Hill), will team up once again, returning to USA Network for the holidays, when the two-hour "Psych: The Movie" premieres in December 2017. "Psych" creator Steve Franks co-wrote the movie with Roday and will also direct the special. Lassiter (Timothy Omundson), Juliet (Maggie Lawson), Henry (Corbin Bernsen) and Chief Vick (Kirsten Nelson) will also return for the movie, which picks up three years after the series finale. The ambitious friends--along with some returning fan-favorite characters--come together during the holidays after a mystery assailant targets one of their own. A comedic thrill ride follows, as the wild and unpredictable PSYCH team pursues the bad guys, justice... and food!

Psych: The Movie is lively and lightweight, buoyed by Roday and Hill's bond, which hasn't diminished at all in the last three years. Its structure is classic Psych.
I was really psyched (no pun intended) to see this. The banter between Shawn and Gus was the highlight of the series IMO. All the pop culture references were fun too. The supporting cast was always top-notch and the guests stars AND the references to those stars' other acting jobs were a hoot.

"Psych The Movie" is a strangely funny comedy about crime and mystery, directed by Steve Franks and written by James Roday; which complements the series "Psych". Obviously this is the old gang in action that brings laughs as the best of the comedy of 2017, with silly and brilliant psychology. I loved it.
