I filmed these penguins swimming when I recently visited the Sydney SeaLife Aquarium at Darling Harbour, Sydney, Australia. They are such elegant creatures when they glide through the water. The curator of the aquarium happened to be standing next to me while I was enjoying the penguin exhibit. He told me that they are the fastest swimming birds on the planet and that they can reach speeds of up to 33km/hr when swimming! The aquarium is so well set up. I appreciate being able to see below the water with such clarity; without such a good set up it would be hard to appreciate the beauty of these penguins swimming.
