SEVEN77 reasons to love Palnet

in #dtube6 years ago (edited)

In this video I go over seven reasons why I am excited about the Pal Network which was recently launched by @minnowsupport.

It looks like a fork, smells like a fork but it's actually a spoon! Our new interface Palnet.io is built on top of Steem and changes nothing of the first layer of the platform. Very much like Steempeak.com, it is layered on top of Steem yet Palnet innovates with the PAL token system, meant to help you promote your posts with the @minnowsupport upvote.

If you are a long time Steemian, you will find their interface familiar because it mirrors Steemit.com before the wallet split. You can stake your PAL which will probably help others earn it upon your upvote. However, I have staked my giftdrop and I am not noticing other blogger's PAL increase when I upvote them so I am not sure...

You can get your gift drop by clicking on the PAL icon in your Steem-Engine wallet, you may find that the icon is tiny on mobile. For some reason I had to use my private owner key on Steem Connect which I found out after trying 3 other keys.

Keychain is the hot new thing that mixes convenience and security when it comes to your increasingly wide collection of passwords.

It sucks making a post about the same thing as hundreds of other posts everyday but I hope you enjoyed my take on it. It is exciting to see renewed enthusiasm for Steem thanks to this wonderful initiative.

I am so grateful for my 350 PAL giftdrop which is available to most Steemians who have been recently active.

You can find the White Paper here

Want to join the SEVEN77 family with me and the legendary @NathanMars? Ain't nothing more simple!

Sent out a tweet including a video of you doing 7 push-ups or any other action and include one reason why you think Steem is awesome. Also include what day you are at in the challenge.

For example: include day 28/77 in your tweet. If you are ambitious like me, put 777 behind the dash!
This will mean that you are up to a 777 day challenge!

The days do not need to be back to back.

Finally, include @NathanMars7 in your tweet because without our fearless leader, none of this would be possible!

It is exciting to see renewed enthusiasm for Steem

Thanks a million for bringing more excitement to our STEEM

Good things are coming to our STEEM

I believe it. take care of yourself and drink lots of water.

Cool Video! It was nice not to just see your face but hear your voice. And yes, after seeing numerous things on PAL, feeling sorta ambivalent about it (same thing yet again, only in magenta), this post of you just tipped the scale. So let met head over there right now to check it out.

Out of 5 posts using their tag so far, not a PAL in sight, just sayin'

:-( Oh no!

Well, I've had my share of disappointments too: Sure, the interface looks almost exactly like Steemit, though by now I'm completely spoiled by Steempeak, so that's a bit of a step back, but who cares, right? The other thing that shocked me a bit is that for a front end it looks amazingly empty. None of my previous posts (whether my own or resteemed ones) are shown. That's probably because they were not published on PAL, which is a bigger concern.

As for the PAL coins, yes, they do appear on my Steem Engine Wallet, but I've been unable to retrieve them. First I thought it was a problem with the Keychain, but Steem Connect gives me an error message too. Something about the current website trying to send a request to the Steem Keychain browser extension for account @stortebeker using the active key, which has not been added to the wallet. Well, I know it has, because elsewhere it seems to work fine.

Oh well, it was worth trying, I guess. I'm not all too upset, since I was never more than slightly curious about it.

Yes, Steempeak is awesome, make sure to tip them with bat regularly especially with those grants cause you can't cash those in. I recently got one for using brave on Android

They don't frame it as a currency in the whitepaper but as a way to get an upvote which is aweful specific if you ask me. I am not loving the feeling that it's a clique but I also want to give them time to figure things out.

Oh yes! I have learned that in the cryptosphere it's best to take everything with a good pinch of salt (though at the same time offer the benefit of a doubt), and always ALWAYS give the devs time to work things out.

BAT? Is that the Basic Attention Token? I've seen it on exchanges, but never actually had any. What grants do you mean, and where do you get them? Could it be that I already have a bunch, without realizing it?

It is.
I am earning them by enabling ads on the Brave browser but it only works on PC.
The only grant I saw was by having the browser on android, other than that I earn about 4$ a month by seeing a bunch of ads.

That was an awesome seven77 to be being excited as one of the receivers of PAL token. Sweet! You Rock! 👍♨️🙌💜🌙

Greetings, Edouard

Very nice idea to use Palnet. Developers of PAL bring to us a new way to make our things on steem blockchain!!

thank you and have a nice day!

Good because the internet takes its toll on the environment so it better be useful.

It's Peace Abundance and liberty not Peace Abundance and love lol. I make my videos very spontaneously because I am just more likely to make them that way ;)

Here is a bit I added in my tweet: It's no secret that palnet is the talk of the town with it's palcoin. It's the beauty of decentralization, if a group of devs think they can improve on the original product, they can!
