yap, know this feeling back from the day when i wrote diary. thought every of my thoughts had been unique and god like. In the perspective of my older self (and other beings) the power of my written words vanished like a vampire in daylight.
Succesful implies that it resonates with other human beings. So if you cover, you also work on a theme that resonated with someone. Talented artisted like you can still add a personal touch to it.
