In this video I discuss free college and if it's a good thing to have in your country or state. Residents of New York state now have access to free in state tuition.
However, what's the cost of free college? Where is the money to pay teachers/professors salaries going to come from. Where are the funds to maintain the building and pay the general staff going to come from?
Besides that, most people know that anything you get for free...you value less. That's the main reason why college tuition should not be free. Someone who's not personally invested in something tends to not take that thing seriously.
Many liberals think that college tuition should be free, but as usual...they only see things on the surface level...and not the deeper more serious cost of doing a thing.
As I mentioned earlier, New York state now offers free in state tuition to residents. It probably won't be long that more states with free college tuition for residents will pop up.

I think instead of forking over several thousand on a largely obsolete education, we should focus on things that pertain to a career path.
I agree @mbgbtb. I think too much emphasis is put into investing in a college education that may not give you the life you want. While investing into yourself and following your passion can be cheaper and more rewarding.
