Update on Small Grow Setup

I cant get enough of #rootporn, haha. So I have never grown hydroponic. Can you explain what you think the advantages of hydro is to soil, also the disadvantages. That is if you have grow soil before.

Less maintenance with soil but its easier to drown your plant, plus you get bigger yields and faster growth rates with hydroponics.
