Here is a daytime view from the back side of signal hill facing the mountains behind me is the pacific ocean where the sunset 2 hours before straight ahead to the left is the San Gabriel Mountains about 10000 feet up I'm 250 ft up and the moon is slightly higher than where I'm at. Straight ahead and tpo the right is the San Bernidino Mountains about 10000 ft high and right of that is the Sanata Ana Mountains 5000 ft high. The moon is not 238900 miles away theres no way in hell. Theres no airplanes in this air space which is usually crowded to the left is the Long Beach Airport no planes near where the moon was floating.
