RE: There is No Social Contract Here - Response to @geekpowered

in #dtube7 years ago

While i agree there is no social contract. My biggest concern with bots is that they take away any reason for someone to utilize the post promotion feature. This feature destroys steem and helps to increase the value of steem. It also provides incentives for people who want to promote their posts to buy steem. What I would like to see bots that take 50% of their profits and burn it is in the promotion feature. Call it a burner bot. At this point getting bots off steem would be a challenge, but bot owners need
To think how their bots affect the value of steem. Burner bots would sit nicely in the middle and id feel good about using them knowing some steem is getting burned in the process.

Never understood the point with a promotion tab. I sort of feel that the only thing that can make normal users feel they have a chance is to launch Smart Media Tokens and generate new value. That will make engaging in stuff so much more valuable and everyone has a chance to gather up new value.

700 million STEEM is clearly too little even for the world since we are moving towards 10 billion humans on Earth. And 300 million STEEM left to get. It's just too little. But I think stuff will all work out well when the Tokens come out.
