I am also sure that without someone going into that cesspit and letting people know there is Steemit, they'll never find out. A lot of people came here because they weren't very happy there, as we weren't, but they didn't know about censorship and propaganda free alternatives that actually provide compensation for producing content - until somebody told them, wherever they were at.
Also, without showing that the promoter of Steemit is providing content they are interested in, and folks interested in @dbroze's content are exactly the kinds of folks looking to get the hell out of farkbork, they might never bother to check it out.
I heard about Steemit while on Youtool, and that day was the last day I checked farkbork.
