Why will new content platforms take on the giants of today?

in #dtube2 years ago

Hive.blog and DTube are two decentralized platforms where you can post content. They are alternatives to blogs and YouTube. But why should we compete with solutions that are already well implemented?
Let's take the example of YouTube, a social network that is becoming more and more strict due to three major problems: centralization, the remuneration system, and copyright.

Centralization:

As YouTube's servers are centralized and owned by Google, the company is the king and can decide from one day to the next to remove the monetization of videos, entire videos or even YouTube channels that would not respect the terms of use. Creators are therefore forced to follow rules that can change from one day to the next.
It is therefore in their best interest to use a platform that does not censor these users very much.

The payment system:

When you watch videos on YouTube, you are not paid. On the contrary, maybe some of you pay a YouTube Premium subscription to avoid ads or download videos. Creators are paid. However, they are paid very little. They are paid based on their views and the ads viewed by their audience.
With DTube, creators would be paid based on the quality of the video, i.e. the number of likes and shares of a video. In addition, users would get a portion of the earnings that the creator publishes if he or she so chooses.

Copyrights:

Since Article 13, videographers can no longer introduce music that does not belong to them to monetize their videos. This pushes individuals to focus on other sources of revenue such as partnerships, product placement or selling training. YouTube users are left with an ubiquitous advertisement, they lose a lot of time and objectivity.

DTube and Hive.blog are the solution to all these problems. Nevertheless, DTube and Hive.blog are still very young projects. With a little marketing and the use of the platform by everyone, this can change! Especially since most of the content is in English, and we are still in the early stages. It's in your best interest to use the platform because it can help you improve your English while making you a lot of money if you hold the platforms cryptocurrencies for a long time.
