One of the challenges with making this type of content for Streaming services such as youtube or vimeo is the bitrate that they will encode your video upload, in order to save space and bandwitdth - a reasonable thing to do. For the most part, this bandwidth allows for probably 95% of all of the video uploaded to come out virtually identical to the original file. However, when dealing with certain situations where each frame is radically different from the previous one, this starts to push the sort of boundaries that these video codecs were designed to handle... After a certain threshold they start to "throw out" smaller, less noticeable details leading to a more 'blurry' looking video. It's basically a copy of a copy at this point; Regardless, I'm pretty happy with the way this came out, and it's only really until the end where you can see the type of limitation I am talking about, although without having seen 'the original' it's hard to have a frame of reference.
It has been a LONG time since I worked on this type of thing but have long yearned to return to it. I did record some more 'b-roll' kinda footage as used in the video so ... the ball is rolling!
