I love English! Its probably my favorite language. One cannot imagine that "I am" is only a gramaticaly correct sentence in response to a question, for example "Are you tired?", but then you could also answer "Yes", which contains one less syllable and one less space than "I am". If you want a gramatically correct sentence that doesn't have to be the response to a question which gives contextual information to the sentence, you could use a single verb as an imperative, such as "Go!", or "I" followed by a non-transitive verb, such as "I go" (although "I'm going" would sound better)
