Sometimes I find myself wondering whether I would wish for a universal language to exist that People on the entire globe would speak or whether I enjoy having many different languages around.
I only speak german and english and I have to say that thinking about it made me appreciate both languages a bit more. English is a bit more on the simple side. There is a lot of Beauty in simplicity, so I can enjoy that.
German on the other Hand is a bit more difficult and nuanced. For example, where the english man would just say "the", I could say "Der", "Die" or "Das", depending on the word I am using it with. While this makes things a bit more complicated, it also adds to the language and allows for more interesting ways to express yourself.
Then you look at languages like japanese who take that concept even further and you find yourself amazed at how interesting expressing thyself can become.
At the end of the day, Languages are the spice that make communicating interesting.
