My DND Story

You feel the crispy cool air crackling around you. For the past few weeks, you have noticed that the leaves have browned and fallen from their woody bases. Today, you go on your daily walk around the town's perimeter for your patrol. As you walk the Eastern Wall, a stone arrow with a brass shaft and leaf-like fletching shoots past you, plunging itself into the wooden wall as the bark bursts open with a deafening crack. The brass shaft opens, releasing a verdant gaseous substance into the air. When the substance fades, the arrow is gone, and a group of five rats surround the ground where the arrow's shadow would lay had the arrow still been present in the wall. A rat crawls onto your boot, and attempts to bite through to your foot. Disgusted by the rat's audacity, you strike it upon the head with your bastard sword, sending its headless corpse into the grass. The other four rats see this, and also attempt to attack you. However, you finish them with the same ease as you did the first.
The corpses of the rats lay torn around in the grassy plain. The blood of the rats, however, seems to drain into the ground, and the bodies become more and more emaciated by the minute...by the second! A small, devilish red flower with green tips sprouts through the soil in the area center to the rats' bodies. A buzzing sound emits into the air around you. Trevor, your partner hears an echoing voice whisper to him, "Pick me..." The voice repeats itself to Trevor, "Pick me..." The voice now fades from his soft hearing ears.
Trevor stumbles towards the flower in a bout of confusion. The buzzing sound grows louder...louder...LOUDER! He, with a quick grasp of the plant, attempts to yank it from its roots. However, the plant pulls back, stronger than Trevor had, opening a small vertical tunnel beneath, and pulls Trevor into a seemingly deep pit.

Great story lonelyrock! Perhaps you could format the post better with headers and pictues, but otherwise good work!

Thanks for the feedback! I will work on the formatting later!

Cool story, I might want to get into DND myself!
