RE: Shut Down, Undelegate Now

in #dvs20 days ago

I already told you I do not wish to change my settings, and I don't participate in the social construct of race.

If you're going to convince me to take a half hour or so out of my life, find the necessary keys, and adjust my trail, you're going to have to do better than saying he's a hillbilly...

You're also going to have to do better than showing me that downvoting is bad... I fought against downvoting before hive existed and it was just STEEM (from a different account). I even did a weekly report on top downvoters and trends. It drives away new users, and stunts growth.

It took years for me to add a downvote trail, I'm not going to undo that decision because you feel like it's racist. I can assure you, the bot I use cares not at all about your race.

Try and make it about race to me one more time and I will take it as a personal attack, but feel free to convince me in some way that isn't already mentioned above.

Sort:

What you gave up already? I was looking forward to an argument against that actually gave me a reason to undo the trail besides skin tone. I hate downvotes, they are the bane of the system.

I don't do instagram.

Please, give me a valid argument. I kinda wanna undo the trail now anyways but my autism requires something from you... A sentence or two that follows a logic path that says it should be undone

I read both posts, the problem runs deeper than that. I was here before steem launched, I remember when it was announced on bitcointalk. I was working with bitshares, and followed it's coder over to their new project...

I was one of the ones who set up a server only to be unable to mine any steem because the miner that was put out didn't work.

A small circle of people had a miner that did function, and was able to mine up most of the beginning for themselves.

Then there was a block on creating accounts, and I was unable to create an account to get in on the beginning.

Then they added downvotes to combat some of the crazy payouts, and some stuff was getting way overpaid...

And it took less than a day for people to use those downvotes for personal gain.

All of these problems, and more, allowed a select group of accounts to be able to build up a God level of power on the chain.

Then Dan left to build EOS.

Steemit and their large share was sold to Justin

That group was able to solidify their power through a fork and convince the entire community to jump over to HIVE.

The entire time, new users are discouraged by the same few people getting trending for next to no effort, just because they know the right people.

The price of hive is kept low because the same people farm the rewards for themselves, and push out new users with their stupid attitudes...

Honestly, I doubt race has anything to do with it. Odds are very good that you angered a money hungry "God" level user... And they added you to the shit list.
