The Eagle is an outstanding bird of prey. They are known for four main characteristics, strength, courage, high soaring powers and sharp eyesight. It is for these reasons that I have chosen the eagle to be on the cover page here at Steemit!.
There are about sixty different species but the writer is unclear if some of them have two names since they are classified according to their particular eating habits and also where they live. Some of them are Bald, Rock, Black and white Hawk, Booted, Harpy, Martial, and Serpent-eagle to name a few. They live in woodland, forest, and high trees. Their wings adapt to their environment.

The female is larger than the male and the female chooses her life partner according to his persistent behavior during the courting period. These birds will attack animals weighing over 82 pounds and will not look back over their shoulders before striking their prey, unlike other animals.
Their strength is seen in their long distant flight and their capability of soaring above storms. After forty years they usually pick out all their feathers and remain out of sight until they grow back. By this time they would become strong again and will live for another thirty years or longer.
The animal is seen as sacred by some persons, so they use it as symbols on items made. The United States of America uses the Bald eagle on the money currency and it is seen as the national animal.
