I've never been to a festival, which I'm loving to try in the future. I know that festivals overseas can go for days. I'll have to keep those in mind when doing that. :)

Yes!, they can! And it certainly becomes a game of stamina at that point! Many will start on Thursday or Friday and go through Sunday night, and some are even longer! Where are you located?
If you have even the most remote interest, I HIGHLY recommend going to one!
