I comment on my phone using both @peakd and @dapplr but only post from the latter. A bit like you. I have also contemplated giving @ecency a go. Now, I am not so sure.
You should always try latest version of mobile app, if don’t want mobile app you can always use our website ecency.com just like other hive websites.
I've used the desktop before and not had any trouble. I'm keen on peakd because you can do more though.
