The day has ended,
Camels seek shelter for the night.
The “Doddering old fool” and the “Babbling fool”
Continue to fight.
The world turns on the whim of
Deluded masses.
Should we all be riding the camels?
Should we be seeking shelter
From the coming storm?
Or should we turn to the Asses?
Who promise to give for free?
Which is better: to be able to work
For yourself and pay for what you
Need, or to wait for someone
To come and release your
Fetters?
I for one would choose to work,
Were I able at my age.
We all have our crosses to bare,
Some think “The Cyrene”
Would carry theirs better.
Who am I to have these thoughts?
I am certainly not one to judge,
But Judged I shall be,
Rest assured, for my opinions are not
Popular. Although, wise men
Throughout history,
Were seldom popular,
Alas for that.
Do I claim wisdom? Nay, I know not
Which end is up these days.
I fear for our world though,
My friends. While claiming to
Work for the good of all,
Those with more
Grow Fat.
