Thanks Now I get the boost (honestly I did not know what it did), how about the promote what does that exactly do because I am not sure if I fully get it....but I am using ecency and I use it for commenting a lot but I did not know that commenting through it brought the bigger rewards (I thought any comment did the trick regardless of the frontend) !CTP

Promote is apparently giving your article more promenance on the ecency website, but I didn't notice any good effects from this.
Boost however is pretty good and gives a nice upvote on an article of your choice.
You only get the points if you use the ecency front end, so its worth to make sure you do at least 10+ comments on ecency each day. !CTP
Well in that case lets leave another and with promote I think my articles have a bigger chance to get voted as a part of Encouragement program. But that might be a coincidence
