How about starting by connecting with Social Security and your local social work office to see what benefits and entitlements are already there for you to tap into? Especially in western countries there is so much you can access, if you know how and where. Good luck.

yes I am waiting for that call back for the phone appointment but I am not permanently disabled so it is likely to go no where. The city has "emergency" cash benefits but without the ssd application, I can't move forward on that.
