THE ENIGMA OF THE DREAMS

Hello my dear friends of steemit, today I want to talk about something that intrigues me a lot THE DREAM
The dream has been and continues to be one of the enigmas of scientific research, and even today, we have great doubts about it. If it is considered a passive phenomenon in which apparently nothing seems to have happened, it has been considered from the appearance of techniques of measurement of brain electrical activity, a state of dynamic consciousness in which we can achieve such an active brain activity. as in the vigil and in which great modifications of the functioning of the organism occur; changes in blood pressure, heart rate and respiratory rate, body temperature, hormonal secretion, among others.
Each night, while we sleep, we go through different phases or stages of sleep that happen with a pattern repeated throughout four to six cycles of sleep throughout the night. All these stages are included in two major phases of sleep, with large differences in muscle activity, brain and eye movements:

The basic needs of sleep to maintain the functions and survival of the organism are placed on an average of 4 or 5 hours of sleep every 24 hours. The rest of the hours that we sleep contribute to improve our well-being and better quality of life, estimating that in an average of 8.3 hours the optimum rest point could be found.

Throughout history we have found since time immemorial that man has tried to interpret the messages that are symbolically hidden in dreams. The Egyptians painted their dreams and they had a religious meaning. Even the Greeks and Romans had interpreters of dreams that traveled to the battles with the military leaders, considering them as omens of the battles and messages of the gods. In some ancestral cultures it is even believed from the beginning that you can act during sleep and perform energy-related activities, and prepare shamans to perform this task. In some American cultures, it is even believed that certain forms of life live in dreams and these allow you to have contact with higher planes.

the dream in 4 phases or stages:

• Stage 1: Light Dream Phase - theta brain frequency oscillating between 2 to 7 hertz. This phase lasts between 90 and 100 minutes and is where most dreams appear. It is the transition between wakefulness and sleep, where the mind reduces its frequency from alpha (7 to 14 hz.) To enter theta. At this stage the eyes move erratically and quickly, breathing and heart rate quicken and blood pressure rises, although all these functions are somewhat erratic. Meanwhile the muscles remain paralyzed. The phase 1 dream is little or nothing repairing, the mind still responds to some external stimuli and the person can wake up easily.

• Stage 2: Light Dream Phase - No ocular activity. The heart rate is low, the muscles relax. The movement of the eyes stops and the brain waves become slower with some occasional burst of faster brain waves. The nervous system blocks the access routes of sensory information disconnecting from the environment. It is partially repairing.

• Stage 3: Slow Wave Sleep Phase - 0.5 to 2 hz in good part of the time, without REM
Low physiological activity occurs during this stage. Brain waves are very slow and are interspersed with smaller, faster waves. It is the beginning of deep sleep. Waking up in this stage generates some confusion.

• Stage 4: Deep Sleep
This stage is about half the time you are asleep. The brain produces delta waves almost exclusively.

Taking into account the physiological aspects of sleep you can see the types of dreams that can develop. There are several ways to make this categorization but in general the most important are:
• Symbolic Dreams: The unconscious uses symbols to communicate. Interpretation is difficult because for many something can represent the same but not everything can be interpreted in the same way for all people. For example, dreaming about bread is not the same for a baker, or for a clerk or a celiac. Everyone has their own language that must be discovered.
• Lucid Dreams: They are those in which during the dream, the person realizes that he is in a dream. In most cases the person wakes up.
• Nightmares: Are those in which the content disturbs the person. Generally this occurs with unresolved situations, which the mind forces the person to face.
• Recurring dreams: Usually they are nightmares, and it has to do with an issue not solved and ignored by the person and once the solution is found, the dream stops appearing.
• Premonitory Dreams: They are those that apparently show a future event. The phenomenon has a rational explanation and this is that the information analyzed by the subconscious yields a result in the dream that can be seen as something that will happen.
• Health Dreams: They are those in which the emotional problem that is physically affecting the body is discovered.
• Telepathic Dreams: They are those in which something real is represented that is happening at that moment.
• Problem Resolutions: Many times it happens that something in which the mind was occupied all day and no solution was found, in the dream it appears.
• Compensatory Dreams: They are those in which something that the person is forbidden or unable to have or do, manages to have it or perform it during sleep.

The Bible teaches that, in ancient times, God transmitted his messages through the power of the Holy Spirit, to his chosen servants through visions and dreams. These messages were also given to the apostles and prophets (Amos 3: 7, Eph 3: 5).
