love your neighbor as yourself

Matthew 22: 36-40
Teacher, what is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said to him, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind."

38 This is the first and greatest commandment.

39 And the second is similar: You will love your neighbor as yourself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Loving oneself demands a philosophy of life that allows you to feel worthy of being happy and to realize yourself as a unique and distinct person.

Loving oneself seems easy but it is not, because it implies recognizing oneself as someone with conditions to be loved as they are, without any added value; However, there are many people who, when looking in a mirror, cannot avoid comparing themselves to others and believe that it is worthless and that it is useless.

self love
That is what he has learned since childhood, with the help of demanding parents who taught him to compare himself to others.

Self-esteem begins with respect for oneself and gratitude for being alive.

The body constantly expresses how little people love each other, with discomforts, dysfunctions and diseases; and relationship problems are also evidence of lack of self-esteem, because what each one does with himself is allowed to do to others, who end up being a source of frustration and discontent.

The one that is not appreciated, is always dissatisfied, is not accepted, cannot enjoy life, projects its own devaluation in others, is never satisfied and cannot be properly inserted in the labor field.

His life is transformed into an ordeal of calamities and a chain of disagreements, misfortunes, mistakes, accidents, making it miserable.

Everything that seems to be wrong outside is the product of an unconscious self-destructive project, a negative way of thinking that generates nothing but problems.

People often feel bad about themselves when they are dependent or afraid, when their expectations exceed their capacity, or when they do the same as others because they are not accepted as they are.

These motives are what paralyzes and blocks them; and what leads them to failure, negativism and skepticism.

Life would be simple if everyone dared to be who he really is; however, old conditioning, beliefs, ancient inherited ways of thinking, prejudices and distorted values do not allow it.

Coming of age allows you to exercise the right to choose and build a life from a new and proper way of thinking, but most prefer to continue thinking like others although their interiority indicates otherwise.

Just as violence generates violence, love for oneself makes love for others possible.

To be able to value yourself, you have to stop criticizing yourself and think about all the good things you do; not criticize, meet the needs of the body and mind, value the work itself, be ordered, avoid excesses, not postpone projects and interact with people who really appreciate them.
