Below is what all the notes and intervals look like. The ascending order of notes and intervals helps us navigate going long wise up and down the fret board. The Circle of 4ths/5ths that is how the guitar is tuned, helps us navigate the fret board going across it.

The Note perspective has 12 different notes so memorizing all 7 modes would require memorizing the relationship and order of 84 different notes per octive per diatonic scale. 
As you can compare the interval perspective of B and C the location of all the intervals is nearly the same, all the relationships are the same just shifted one fret different. Below is the Note Perspective
Below is the interval Perspective. As you can see you can just move up one or more frets, or down, and the pattern just shifts, so if you can play a scale in one key, you can play it in any key. On the piano the white keys are the c ionian scale, thus the pattern changes because the white and black keys create a difference thus learnign piano, would have a the same pattern if you ignore the keys color though.
