It's considered the largest Roman tombs found in Alexandria, located on the western cemetery in ancient Alexandria, dates back to the 2nd century AD

A hole in the roof of the cemetery was discovered by chance in 1900 AD. and it is from the kind of the Kata Komb, which is a type of cemetery that was spread in the first three centuries AD. The Kata Komb cemetery is the main cemetery in the area of ​​Kom Shoqafa. It's called by that name because of the similarity between it and The Kata Combe tombs in Christianity in Rome, and the name of Kata Comb is a term called for the tombs dug underground.
