A month ago Electroneum came out with an announcement that everyone running full node wallets needed to update to the latest version before block 179840.
I did that but then today I looked at my wallet knowing we were going to hit that block and eeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
The new wallet is stuck on block 179848!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
A lot of Electroneum HODLers won't even notice this issue if they get the fix up right away but to be honest it has been one delay after another with all this. If I wasn't still mining some Electroneum I wouldn't have worried too much about doing the update right away but I decided to make sure that everything was good going forward. They have the resources to really make everything going smoothly. I'm not sure what have been the issues with all the delays. The "simulated" mobile miner comes out on Monday so hopefully that will go though without any issues.
The Electroneum cult following is still intact. I looked on the Facebook comments and the devote followers were coming out in droves to champion the victory that hasn't happened quite yet! LOL I'm not going to sell any of my Electroneum. I think like anything all of it will come together in due time. I did predict $1 Electroneum by the end of March but unless this gets resolved, the mobile miner turns some heads, some of the partnerships come together, and the whole market gets stronger it will be tough for all that to happen. Also the exchange situation has been bad for Electroneum. HitBTC said they are adding it which they haven't been able to do anything right lately. Kucoin is adding it as well but was waiting until after the Chinese New Year. Only time will tell what will happen. Electroneum needs to get in the community vote for Binance because the cult following will blow that away and win for sure.

Why does electroneum even needs it own blockchain? It mobile miner is not mining just acting like it mining with using much energy . They be better off just running their token on a non eth platform to look cool and be secure and fast.
I guess to some capacity originating the their own chain to control a large chunk of supply instead of buying into someone elses' platform. That is one of the questions people sort of have to ask themselves when it comes to SMT vs Originating a STEEM blockchain clone. It could be cheaper to piggy back off infrastructure but sometimes not.
I actually think that if they can get everything running in the future it could really have a lot of adoption because it could be like buying into Monero at a cheaper price point with a codebase way further along than Bytecoin. I don't know why they didn't make the GUI wallet available from the beginning as well though.
Hmm...is it doing ring signature active on every transaction? If so then you might be right and it would do a dash style price pump

I found it in 2016 when STEEM shot up to #3 on CoinMarketCap. I looked at it and started blogging. Oh wait.... did I say 2016? I meant 1998. I have been on here 20 years. ;-)
I mine this coin before and I got a pretty good 1000 coin overnight but when bug comes I left this coin to nowhere. It's not worth to hodl it, to many bugs, the ICO promise before remain a promise.
It has been a long wait but we will see on Monday if the mobile "simulated" miner will work properly and at what rate it is passing out coins.

Hahhaha, The TRON cult is really interesting to me. Average age of the cult members are like 15. I call it the teenie bopper cult.
That being said I sold my Tron that I had air dropped to me at $0.05 but will buy back in at $0.00000001 LOL. Acutally I don't think it will go that low. Maybe $0.02 or something. But I will likely buy in because if the cult is so crazy that even when they hadn't produced anything accept a plagiarized white paper it got to like 11 Billion or something stupid. If they produce a screen shot of anything that looks like code people will go nuts!
The one thing that interest me last year about Electroneum is it being the first British cryptocurrency and I still have good faith in it. But I do hope this glitch doesn't have far to serious impact on it. @brianphobos, 20 years on Steemit, that is hilarious. Steemit should consider giving you some special badge for being there before it existence. LOL!
Yeah I think they will get past this situation pretty quick and hopefully the mobile miner will really kick things into action on Monday as well.
