NK hitting us with nukes isn't really a viable option ue to our missle defenses and would be taken out either over the ocean or over Canada. NK hitting us with am EMP has a VERY high possibility! I have friends inside the beltway and this has been the fear they've have for quite some time.
KMS 3-2 and KMS 4 are orbiting at an altitude of 300 miles, with trajectories that put them daily over the U.S. KMS 3-2 was launched in December 2012 and KMS 4 was launched Feb. 7. At such an altitude, an EMP could impact much of the continental United States, according to EMP experts. Ideally, to disrupt the entire country, two EMPs would happen. Dissect the country in half, and have one directly over each half of the country.
If our country were to be hit by an EMP, it is estimated that 90% of the population would die within the first year due to disease, starvation, fighting over resources, etc.
