So I got a new phone today added the steemit app but Could not login. So I went to my destop went into steamit on my computer scanned the posting keys the private key all of the keys even the owner key and was still unable to log in so I did a Google search and I asked a question I lost My password to steam results popped up and there was a steam it post I clicked on it and it basically took me through the steps on how to find my steamit master password now keep in mind I used my PC to originally set up my steam account so I wanna thank the steamit person User Name anarchotrader His post is what helped me get my app working on my new phone.
Basically what you need to do Is open your web-browser on your PC or Mac click on the 3 little dots up in the right hand corner scroll down until you see settings click on settings then go to the bottom of the page and click on advanced and then scroll all the way down-and look for security in passwords click on that and then scroll down in that little list it's gonna give you a list of all the websites with the passwords you can click on the one that you looking for and it'll give you your password that you used originally I then copied and pasted that password into the app on my phone for the steemit app and sure enough it worked.

If you want to look for the original post all you have to do is in a Google search type and I lost my password on steam it and here is how I recovered it and his original post will pop up I believe it's a year-old but it still works today.
