There's a cool collection of books about security, hacking and encryption on offer from Humble Bundle. It's a little ironic that they are not taking Bitcoin as a payment option for these as they usually do. If only they accepted Steem Dollars.
Seen via Bruce Schneier. I have his Applied Cryptography book, but can't say I've read it all.
The Code Book by Simon Singh is a good introduction to the topic, but it's not in this bundle. Cryptography is really a science in more ways that most other programming. It's about researching new techniques and learning how to break them. You should always be wary of anyone who claims to have a radical new form of encryption that is unbreakable. They need to prove that they can break that done by others first.
I'll just keep on playing with things like Keybase. People should be more aware of how to keep their communications private and politicians should try to understand it better, especially in Australia.

I'll buy guitar picks for Steem Dollars
Security is something that I need to continue to improve on.
It's hard to keep track of all the issues. Everyone carries a supercomputer they don't understand these days
I'm going to give this keybase a look thanks @steevc
I'd imagine they're not taking bitcoin because of the coming potential fork?
I'll have to have a look at Keybase...
Thanks for suggesting
