I think we are finally on the cusp of a transition away from fossil fuels. It's my guess that within the next 50 to 100 years we will completely transition away from them. I foresee within the next 10 to 25 years larger transition and movement towards electric vehicles. That is obvious in the automotive industry, nearly every auto manufacturer is on board and researching electric vehicle technology now. With the Advent of the Tesla Supercharger Network, it's been shown that electric vehicles are viably able to replace their fossil fuel equivalents. Very interesting article, thank you for sharing!

Yeah, the transition has surely begun and well underway in many countries. As you said, the next 10 to 25 years will be crucial as we are going to see larger change. I personally think that within this 21st century, we will have completely abandoned fossil fuels for good :)
