RE: A Better World for Tits - Holiday Engineer Project

in #engineering6 years ago

Healthy tits stay clean and dry! Good on you for thinking ahead to cleaning out the birdhouse.
A problem we have in Wisconsin is house sparrows taking over all local birds' birdhouses and nests, killing the parents, breaking their eggs, and raising their own young on the corpses. So cleaning out the birdhouses is not pleasant. I actually was watching the sparrows take over a mud swallow nest the other day. I haven't seen any of the swallows since so... gulp

Sort:

Are you serious? Do you have any kind of crazy sparrow virus spreading there and turning house sparrows into monsters?

I think sparrows are super cute, I can't believe that..

Yeah you can read more about them in this article don't get me wrong I try to love all animals but these ones are a big problem.

Ehhh.. what?

Wow. Well of course it might be very different in the US, as it's not native in the area but in Europe I haven't ever heard anyone think anything bad about house sparrows.

Most of the news I've found regarding house sparrows is that their amount has been declining and people are mostly worried about it :D

We live in such different worlds.

Wow that is odd evidently getting transplanted to America made them vicious opportunists
