Absolutely correct. We did a coastal tour of Devon and Cornwall and another tour of Norfolk.
Most of the villages have no permanent residents and some had one or two people left in them.

All holiday homes. Which meant locals couldn't afford to buy where they grew up.

that's pretty sad. It's even worse in Italy. They're offering some of those houses in Tuscany to people of Italian ancestry for $1 each, provided the actually live there and revitalise the place. Hope it doesn't come to that here.

Well guess what? There are places in the UK where they will pay you to live. Check out the Shetland islands and many others up in the north sea area.

Last time I looked it was paying £50k to move there and if you had kids...bonus! 😂😂👍

wow, that's insane. I'd imagine people would jump at that chance, unless there's nuclear waste there or some kind of Loc Shetland Monster in the waters 😂
