Learning from language; How to make people believe in you

in #entrepreneur6 years ago

I had an amusing night last night. I spontaneously joined a free webinar dedicated to teaching some instagram growth tips, held by Foundr.com, an entrepreneurial magazine.

Yes they gave us the hashtag tips.. and the networking tips.. and lots of case-studies of their 'students' who grew their business through instagram.

But what I found more interesting and profitable was NOT the tips but the LANGUAGE they used to draw you in throughout, then absolutely sell you their membership at the end!

You see, before the tips they told us they have something to gift at the end.. Then they show us how possible it is to be successful on instagram.. Then for the last half an hour they start to use the REALLY interesting language.

I could sum it up as 'treating your audience already as the person they want themselves to be'. Because if they see your potential and desires you'll feel understood by them, you'll feel like a hard-working entrepreneur like them! They show you your end result, they encourage you with their 'transparent honesty'.

It's much more than telling you what you'll get once you buy their membership... It's like showing the audience that they are the person they want to become if they make the decision to invest in their personal growth!

None of this is a bad thing! I think it was an inspiring thing to experience and learn from :)

Hope any entrepreneurs out there enjoyed this analysis :)
