Business ideas

Hi Steemers!

Today I want to share what I learned about choosing the right business idea!

  1. Examine your own skill set for business ideas.
This one is pretty obvious, just ask yourself if your skill set is feasible. Will people be willing to pay for your services or products? The answer is YES even if you think it's not. I believe that everyone can put their mind to it, and, with the right help, activate their strengths and find a way to be an entrepreneur - the crucial thing is to want it hard enough.

  2. Keep up with current events and be ready to take advantage of business opportunities.
Watch the news, read the papers! Follow trends and try to imagine people affected by them and imagine their needs. Or, even better, create something that will create their needs. For example: after same-sex marriages became legal in Canada entrepreneurs began selling tourist travel packages that include a marriage ceremony to same-sex couples from other countries.

  3. Invent a new product or service.
You can invent something for an existing market, or you can invent a whole new market. Think big and out of the box.
If you like to complain a lot - think about a creative ways to fix the problem! Talk with other people, ask them what would make their life easier. For example, there are millions of aging gardeners across North America. Think of a tool or a chair that could help them do their thing!

  4. Add value to an existing product.
Maybe your business idea can be a service complementing an existing product, for example, fresh farm vegetables delivery at your doorstep each week!

  1. Investigate other markets.
Finding out about other cultures and investigating other market opportunities is an excellent way to find business ideas. Maybe someone in Canada wants to buy shells and stones from a beach in Spain?

  2. Improve an existing product or service.
Start generating business ideas by looking at the products and services you use and brainstorming ideas as to how they could be better. You can make a habit out of it. For example, when you make your bed, think about how easy would it be if the fabric had built in magnets. If it is a stupid idea like this one, do not be discouraged. Keep thinking this way and eventually you will think of something breathtaking and cool.

  3. Get on the bandwagon.
Notice how people lately spend a lot of time making their Instagram profiles look good - open a Insta friendly coffee shop with content worthy of publishing. See how people treat their dogs as a part of the family and offer them services that would be unimaginable 20 years ago!
