I haven't found many people that doesn't like growing plants, some feel they suck at it and therefore avoid it, but in general I think it is for most people who has put some effort into it, very satisfying.
I love growing anything food related and wish more people would.

Chilli, garlic, ginger, rosemary & basil as basics are a must along with tomatoes, chives, carrots, potatoes, beans, lettuce, red onions, cauliflower, peppers and cabbage and you're already fed well. Environmentally assisting foods like avo's, oranges, lemons, macadamia, guava, paw paw, myrtus cherrie berrie and any other fruit that grows on an evergreen tree is also great and a must, remembering that many can also be grown in large pots.

I make a habit of planting as many fruit seeds as possible from what I eat and just sticking the trees anywhere or giving them to people with gardens.
Our planet is being taken for granted by us, whether you contribute on a small or large scale, you are contributing so isn't it only fair to put something back and what better than something that keeps giving?
It's our world, let's give her the love she gives us.
Holler at ya fellow plant lover! A friend of mine is literally a plant whisperer. One of my plants was looking a bit droopy yesterday, so she held one of the leaves and said “he’s just cold”. So for a laugh, I moved him in front of the heater and wrapped a blanket around his pot. The fella was big and spritely in about 15 minutes, I was absolutely flabbergasted :D
See now, plants and animals, so much nicer than most people.
