BSIPs 19 and 20 were rejected by xeroc on the 23rd October 2017 without involving the BSIP author nor the community (via the hangouts).
I do not believe that such action without involving the community (nor completing peer review of the BSIP prior to rejection) is appropriate, the foundation's compliance worker proposal is not active yet thus there is insufficient network consensus to rule out these BSIPs at this moment in time.
Xeroc replied on telegram:
I am sorry if you feel offended. I had the impression (from long discussion on telegtam) that the community preferred BTS to not go towards a security and as a consequence rejected the bsips.
I agree that discussions about bsips should happen on platforms that archive them better and will try to do so in the future. If it makes you feel better, i can change the status to 'postponed' instead of rejected
I certainly dont want to be a gatekeeper on bsips .. Thats why all the current devs on github/bitshares have write access to the repo
BSIPs should not be rejected in such a silent manner.
