A few updates from the Core Team to share this week:

The Core Team delivered a Release on 28th March

New build requirements, please review release notes
- libcurl-dev required
- submodule URLs changed
Security fixes (highlights)
- Fixed negative amount issue (consensus changing)
- Fixed various FC issues
New features and improvements (highlights)
- Added broadcast_transaction
- Added get_top_markets
- Refactored get_account_history
- Implemented es_objects plugin (Elasticsearch)
Bug fixes (highlights)
- Fixed broken HTTP headers in Elasticsearch requests
- Fixed correctly disconnect peers
- Fixed websocket connection issue (Linux kernel higher than 4.4.0)
Other changes (highlights)
- Added CLI wallet test framework
- Added/Fixed many test cases
- Removed unused files

The Core Team moved to bi-monthly remittances rather than weekly, therefore there was not an entry for last week. In the next period the Core Team will evaluate Issues, prioritizing them into the Non-Consensus and Consensus Releases, estimate effort and set target release dates. The GitHub repo will include guidance for Contributors to add, modify, label and claim Issues. This will support compensating ad hoc contributors. The Core Team is working with the UI Team to provide automated documentation generation of the API implementation.
